Sparkly Hair. :)

So... I have a most wonderful, amazing, sister, named Rachel, who is an awesome hair-stylist.
And... I got my hair cut today!  (Well.. now yesterday, technically speaking.)
Along with this hair cut/trim, she recently got these Sparkle strip things, and I told her I would gladly be her guinea pig in testing them out. :)  They're these little, extremely shiny strips (basically like tinsel) that you tie into your hair.  Yup.  You tie them in - using only ONE strand of hair.  Interesting?  Yes.  I think so.  I say you MUST be talented if you can SEE one strand of hair enough to be able to tie something onto it.
Anyhoo... So, I wanted to flaunt my silver sparkles, since I love them so!
However, alas- I forgot to take a picture before I got ready for bed.  But oh well- I'm still posting a picture.

So as a favor to me, just ignore the following things:
1. The disgusting mess I am, because of (a) how sick I feel and (b) the fact that I've been laying on my hair for the last while, watching movies with my mom.
2. The absolute crap lighting, due to me - not wanting to get up and turn on the actual overhead light. (I also hope this isn't a complete disgrace to me-considering I'm a lighting designer to some extent....)
3. ..Pretend I look like I'm smiling. If you enlarge the picture, you can see the "smile" at least a little better...(And also the sparkles :))
3. and just... pay attention to the sparkles in my hair, and I'll post a better picture soon.:)

Ohhh the Sparkles :)
Haha... Anyhoo... So, yes. New favorite thing :)

Cupcakes :)

... Need I say more?
Haha.
This past week, I've been making  and  decorating  cupcakes.
First, and originally for Teacher Appreciation Week last week. -I've wanted to make these apple cupcakes for a SUPER long time now, and they seemed the perfect thing for teacher appreciation.
Second, for some families in my ward - a thank you” (apple cupcakes again) and a  Congratulations for a new baby in a family (duck cupcakes!)
Oh so super fun. Let me tell ya.
And Third - over the weekend, I made Mother’s Day cupcakes (Oreo sunflowers :)) AND Cakebites (ladybugs!) - for my sisters, and some of my YW leaders from my good ol' days in YW. :)

Anyhoo... Here's the outcome of the lil cakes! :)

(This lil guy was my favorite of ALL the 25-30 ladybugs I made. Haha...)

(And also, my apologies for the crappy lighting of the ladybug pictures...)

There will most definitely be more cupcakes to follow! --Soon, hopefully!

Once Upon A Time...

Kenzie Ann had a blog...
And I still do!  It just had to disappear for a while (aka: 1 or 2 -nope. 3 months) as I finished up winter semester...where life became crazy, and I forgot I had a blog. (Except for those moments when other people start talking about posting things on their blogs and I thought "Oh yeah!  I have one of those! ...Poor little neglected blog/fish on the sidebar...")
(Ha.Ha.Ha. Moments. "I love those moments - I tend to wave at them as they pass by!"  -- Audrey Sue, that's for you. ;) - I tell ya!  Really. Almost every day!)

Anyhoo...
So here begins my blogging days, once again!
Starting tomorrow (...which I guess technically means "today"...) Stories, Adventures, Crafts, Creations and more shall be posted, documenting the most awaited for Summer of my life.  Other than last summer, which included Heritage Tours :), this summer will be the greatest thing ever, simply because I'm convinced that I have never wanted summer break more after school ending than I do now.
This is yet another thing that college has taught me.  Summer has never sounded SO GOOD.

Well, I bid thee Adieu - until tomorrow ....er later today. :)
